Belli Ciao
Starring and co-written by popular comic duo Pio and Amedeo, hit comedy Belli Ciao from Gennaro Nunziante (Where am I Going?, IFF16) delivers a lighthearted north versus south culture clash.
Pio and Amedeo are inseparable friends until they finish high school, when they are faced with the fateful dilemma that grips young people of the South: give up everything and go north for work or stay home and build a better tomorrow. While the ambitious Pio decides to leave for Milan, Amedeo chooses to remain in their hometown, dividing his time between a health care shop and the town council, working with the Mayor to help prevent the exodus of the youth to the north.
But to revive the local economy, a large investment is needed and due to an unpredictable twist of fate, the two friends meet again after years apart. By working towards a common goal, the pair rediscover their friendship and realise that home is not where you are, but who you are with.
