3/19
In this intriguing drama, the life of Camilla (Kasia Smutniak, Perfect Strangers IFF16), an elegant and successful lawyer, is turned upside down one rainy night in Milan.
Immersed in a daily routine composed of meetings, phone calls and million-dollar transactions, Camilla doesn’t know what it is like to have free time. But one night her world is forced to stop when she is involved in a fatal road accident.
Overcome by doubts that perhaps she is responsible, she becomes involved in an investigation that will take her very far from the places and landscapes she is used to frequenting. At her side on this uncertain journey, there is Bruno (Francesco Colella), with whom Camilla – while trying to reconstruct the life of a stranger – discovers herself.
Directed by Silvio Soldini (Bread and Tulips), 3/19 sheds light on two starkly different realities – the world of those who have everything and those who do not.
